The Graduate School supports graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in developing the writing habits and strategies that will enable them to succeed in their online disciplines, communicate their research and professional identity to a range of audiences, and flourish in their desired career after graduate school. The Dissertation Completion Grant is ideal for students who need structured writing mentoring as well as group support in order to complete their dissertations. Doctoral Dissertation Completion Grant Apply for the Doctoral Dissertation Completion Grant Program , which provides both funding and sustained mentoring to doctoral candidates who are within six months of completing their dissertations. This workshop will explain the nature of the publication process, help students to compare and evaluate publication venues, and provide publishing strategies. Applications for the grants beginning in July are due May 16, Refreshments will be provided by the Congress of Graduate Students. In May we will host another edition of Camp Completion , a week-long retreat for writers looking to complete big projects like a thesis or dissertation. The Dissertation Completion Grant is ideal for students who need structured writing mentoring as well as group support in order to complete their dissertations.
